Speaking of our little one ... she has officially made her way into every corner of the house! But I was so ecstatic to have her swing arrive that, since I was already building that, I might as well knock out the rest and find homes for it all. So she officially has all she could need ready and waiting for her - so ... YOU CAN COME OUT NOW MCKENZIE!
We also got a few photos from our maternity session I want to remember to share, so let's start with and then I can show you all the fun new toys waiting for McKenzie.
I am really loving the photos (except of course the shoe and ring situation). Aren't they fun and bright?!?
City Select Stroller & Britax B-Agile Jogging Stroller
Pack & Play
4Mom mamaRoo Swing
Jumperoo
Portable rocking sleeper thing
Fold n' Go bassinet (it's not something I am keeping up in the house, but rather in my car, so I don't have a picture. Here is the one from the website though.
Her room was also finished this week. I will post a separate blog post with photos later, but for now, here is a sneak peek. Crib and changer came from our friend's designer furniture company, AFK Fine Furniture for Children.
I added her name today (after I made this collage) so here's an updated view of the changing area:
And, since she has her own little bathroom, you know I had to decorate that too!
Last, but obviously not least, her wardrobe might be just a tad out of control!
Well that's all for now I suppose. On to the weekly update. Can I just say ... I am so ready for her to get here! As much as I love our regular blog sessions, i am sure I can find something else to share with all of you - like how precious she is going to look in all her fab clothes! ;) Among other things of course.
How far along? 38 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Yes, but the sweater in the picture is not. That's my fab new Michael Khors sweater courtesy of my friend Barbara!
Sleep: Still waking up much earlier and having to get up frequently in the middle of the night. But it doesn't take much to fall asleep and fall back asleep. I am ready for bed much earlier as well and feel like I need a nice long midday nap every day though - which never happens.. I guess that is good since I feel
like little one won't want to sleep until 11 on the weekends :)
Best moment this week: Finishing the nursery! We just need a few things to add some flair to the walls and my rocker needs to get here, but other than that it;s all ready for her arrival. Oh! I scheduled a deep cleaning service for this upcoming week. So excited to have this house sparkle and shine for her arrival.
Miss Anything? Tanning, skinny jeans and now - my rings and heels. I seriously don't feel like me without my stilettos.
Movement: She's an active one and now that she is running out of room, her big movements can be quite uncomfortable. I have even developed bruises on the outside of my stomach from some of them. Crazy, huh?
Food cravings: Grapes, strawberries, apple sauce, juice, chocolate, root beer, fruit snacks, salsa ... the list can go on for days.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really, I even had some shredded chicken yesterday. I have been having terrible heartburn though which makes me nauseas.
Labor Signs: currently 2cm, 80-90% and -2. Same as last week :( No contractions, but lots of cramps.
Belly Button in or out? In-ish.it's sticking out a bit on the top I suppose.
Wedding rings on or off? Off :(
Happy or moody most of the time: Depends on the day - and the person.
Her room is darling!!! Can't wait to see pics of your sweet daughter! So excited for you!!!
